St. Pierre and Miquelon is a French archipelago south of the Canadian island of Newfoundland. The sparsely populated island of Miquelon-Langlade is the location of the Grand Barachois lagoon, home to seabirds and seals. The more lively Saint-Pierre Island is characterized by a marked French atmosphere, with a cathedral and the Heritage Museum, which celebrates the region’s history. A neighboring island, Île-aux-Marins, has an abandoned fishing village.
Naapurisaari Île-aux-Marins’lla on hylätty kalastajakylä.
