Basse-Normandie

La Basse-Normandie, désormais intégrée à la Normandie, est une ancienne région française bordant la Manche. Elle est réputée pour son littoral rocheux constitué de falaises de craie blanche, ainsi que pour ses sites du débarquement de la Seconde Guerre mondiale tels qu’Omaha Beach. La Côte Fleurie abrite la station balnéaire chic de Deauville, qui offre une plage de sable et des villas Belle Époque. L’emblématique Mont-Saint-Michel est surmonté d’une abbaye médiévale à l’apparence mythique.

Lower Normandy, now part of Normandy, is an old French region bordering the English Channel. It is famous for its rocky coastline made of white chalk cliffs, as well as for its WWII landing sites such as Omaha Beach. Côte Fleurie is home to the chic seaside resort of Deauville, which offers a sandy beach and Belle Epoque villas. The iconic Mont-Saint-Michel is surmounted by a medieval abbey with a mythical appearance.
